YOUNG BUSINESS MIND MENTOR PROGRAM
Do you know a young person between the ages of 12-18? Would they like to learn more about being their own boss? Well, sign them up for our Young Business Mind Mentoring Program. In the program, our young business leaders learn how to start a business, think like a business owner, and market their business. Innovation and consistency are critical for every business owner, and we find that empowering our young people with these skills early on helps them carry these skills into their adult life. This program is geared to disadvantaged youth across Hampton Roads Virginia.

Our Founder
LaFrancis McPherson Painter founded Painting the Picture Business Group because of her passion for business and her love for creating wealth in disadvantaged communities. Her love for business dates back to her high school years where she started a successful jewelry business for her senior project. She continued her education in business at Regent University acquiring her B.S. in Business Management and her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Innovation Management.
After working in the non-profit sector and in the public sector with government procurement, LaFrancis decided to continue her education in Public Policy and Administration in the Ph.D. program at Walden University to further explore how she can use her business expertise to serve her community.
Over the years she has provided professional services to many small and minority owned businesses that in turn have experienced exponential growth. LaFrancis takes great pride in giving back to her community and being an advocate for businesses facing challenges that prevent growith. She has recently been appointed as a member of the National Small Business Association Leadership Council. In her role she will continue to serve her community and advocate for programs, legislation, and new opportunities for businesses across the Virginia region.
